Should I get a Macbook Pro 13" for boarding school?

After reviewing the iPad, I feel that it is very limited with some of the things you can do. I’m a frequent laptop user, and I’m going to be a starting at a boarding school in a few months. I’ve found out that you’re allowed to take laptops to your classes to complete assignments and tasks. Also, to do research etc.

I currently own a Dell laptop, but everytime I use it it turns off without warning and all my work is gone. Everytime I try to save work, it doesn’t save. Plus, it keeps overheating and burning my lap that I have to use a pillow to stop the heat from travelling, and sometimes the heat still travels through the pillow. I’ve tried taking it to be repaired a lot of times but it’s out of warranty and they said they cannot do anything about it. I’ve rung up support and researched solutions to the problems but nothing’s working.

My birthday is coming up real soon so should I ask for a Macbook Pro 13" then? Thanks for answering.

Macbook or iPad……?

I already own a dell laptop, but it’s been messing up lately and it’s out of warranty. It shuts down without warning when I’m typing work and stuff like that. I surf the internet a lot, edit photos (usually use online editors), listen to music & watch youtube videos a lot. I play some video games once in a while.

The macbook looks really nice for high school. It’s portable and I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about it. I have enough money for one.

So which one should I get? Thanks.
